Plain to see Relic is going to be a "you didn't get it" type of movie. I thought this was great, but it's not a typical horror story. You have to understand this is more of a drama masquerading as horror. Very much an emotional journey. Really, the less you know about it, going in, the better. I understand why some people aren't liking it. All I can say is subtext, look it up. I'd recommend this for fans of more cerebral horror, e.g., The Babadook, The Mimic (2017). If you need a story spelled out, in bright neon letters, you're not going to like this.
