@johnny-lumsden The reason the film doesn't give a good understanding of how the manor works is that it doesn't actually exist. The whole thing is a big scam and it's most likely just a fetish thing for Russ. Danny Berk and Reckless Ben are YouTubers doing a whole series on what's really going on with the manor and why it's a scam. Calling this a documentary is disingenuous, Hulu should probably just reclassify this as a fictional story.

Finally a full film on the McKamey manor to better understand what exactly it is. However, after this film I still don't have a good understanding of how exactly the McKamey Manor works, as it was basically just a documentary on extreme haunted houses and the type of person people think Russ is or isn't and the dissection of that. But outside of the McKamey part, this was fascinating and entertaining to learn from different people their take on extreme haunted houses being somewhat therapeutic. It was a clever way of filming to introduce different people as different versions of the subject.
