All the Light We Cannot See 2023

WOW. This is a masterpiece of storytelling. The casting was stellar and the performances were magical. The cinematography captured the grittiness of occupied France and the horrors of the invaders were on full display. If I have any complaints in the storytelling they might be twofold, all Germans were portrayed as the darkest of evil (I don’t believe it was that black and white) and the connection between Werner and Marie was a little too much of a rushed fairytale at the end. But, the whole was a wonderful romantic journey, in the classical sense of the power of lofty ideals rather than in human attraction. I give this limited series a 9 (superb) out of 10.
