It's the manga ending fleshed out a bit, plus two-ish additional scene right at the end and some adjustments. I doesn't change the ending (aside from Armin's admission), it just highlights it more. People will be discussing this again, just like after the manga ended. Let's see where this is going.
I, for once, found the last two episodes powerful. It's as far as I'm concerned a logical conclusion. Or at least I have no idea where the story could have realistically gone otherwise. Would I have liked it to end another way? Yes, definitely! But in the end I respect a conclusive ending more than a magically appearing good feeling ending.

@slyazx Yes, their didn't changed the ending, thankfully. Just made it less vague in breaking down of, mostly Eren's actions.

oh, yeah, I remember people complaining that we got happy ending at the end. Even with 80% and Yeagerists in the manga preparing for the next world war. Despite readers having a piece of info from Eren saying that it's gonna fail in the end. And than extra pages came out lol
I don't quite understand what it changed for some people. That was unwinnable situation with no happy ending in the end, besides people we know, mostly, living to see another day. And extra pages didn't change that, I think. How it could be accused of being a happy ending, I doubt I will ever understand.

I'm looking forward to anime-onlys reactions and thoughts.
My perfect ending didn't happen, but it would have been extremely visually boring one. Where global rumbling doesn't happened, hatred doesn't stop, titans didn't disappeared even for a bit, Eren's dies archiving nothing not much changes here and world just lives in constant state of 5 minutes to midnight on Doomsday Clock.
