A while ago i realized something in my thinking about the mythology was wrong, that of the black oil. I thought it was alien blood, but it turned out to be an alien virus... That was also carried or used by some aliens? I don't know.

Because i realized when some aliens were shot in the past, the black oil didn't come out of them, it was like green blood or they dissolved or something.

It's nice to get all the mythology laid out in the show during the courtroom scenes. The parts that makes sense as a narrative, that is. Some of it is still nonsense though.

I thought Mulder would have had something up his sleeve, but no, he had nothing, and he was going to die until his friends and Kirsch broke the law to help him.

Cancer man even said with the infomation Mulder knew about the date of recolonization that it would have said him.

Ugh.

Though seeing Mulder's friends help him was really nice.

Seeing the x files office destroyed was sad.

Why bring back cancer man right at the very end when he was dead seasons ago? And nothing is said of how he survived against Krychek.

Glad Mulder got a scene with the lone gunmen.

Then there's some rubbish about cancer man waiting all this time protecting Mulder so he can eventually break him more when he finally knows the truth about recolonization. Things like that. Even though we've seen a softer soft of cancer man and who in some twisted ways he cared about Mulder. He even shed a tear when he thought Mulder had died early in the show.

Ugh.

Oh yeah and Mulder has visions through the episode of dead people who help him. It's nonsense connected to the religious mythology.

Then the last damn conversation of the show is about believing in damn religion. No, just no.

I'm sad the show has ended and i'm annoyed it's happened in this way.

What they should have done, is soon after Gibson revealed that guy to be an alien, that either Scully, Reyes or Doggett pull their gun and shoot the guy. Or Mulder grabs a gun from a soldier and does it, thereby revealing the guy to be an alien when he melts into goo.

Then it's done, the alien conspiracy has been revealed. Gibson can point out any traitors or aliens in their midst.

From this one plot point, you could expose the alien conspiracy, or at least do a mini-exposing of the conspiracy with the right and powerful kind of people, and then later plan to expose it to the world.

It's so easy to do this, and it would have been better than what we got in so many different ways.

Instead, we get religious stuff. We get Mulder and Scully on the run from secret organizations and alien organizations and super soldiers. Kirsch and Skinner and Reyes and Doggett maybe being killed or deposed, while the alien conspirators continue gathering their power and infiltrating powerful groups and organizations in preparation for the invasion, with Mulder and Scully having no way to fight back except possibly through Gibson Praise somehow. The end.
