I really, really liked it. Interesting sci-fi ideas, contained location, character stuff and good doctor stuff.
The blind girl was annoying.
The doctor's writing about assuming the dad was dead is cold.
The doctor was unusually brutal and cold towards the apparitions. But she was probably right. I think the apparitions didn't have the consciousness, but only part or all of their memories or rather false memories. The intracacies of their consciousness wasn't really explored. They were real until they were controlled by the solitract, and then it was assumed they weren't real, even though they kind of were real because they had all the persons memories.
I liked that inbetween world and that alien creature and the moths.
I loved the dialogue between the doctor and the solitract, that deeper and diplomatic dialogue. I wanted more. The ending felt rushed. I just wanted more exploration of it all.
