This could have been a classic hard-core sci-fi gem, you can find this only in indie productions. It tried but for me it failed. It has a very slow build up which is not bad at all but the main problems is that none of the characters are likeable and i'm glad that it wasn't only me that notice this.
The kid, is irritating and insufferable, you are wishing for the missile to hit her. The grandpa is irritating and insufferable, you are wishing for the missile to hit him. The father is unlikeable and you don't care for him.
This is a very missed opportunity due to bad production decisions.
