@d2freak To be fair, this came well into King's cocaine addiction. He's pretty much disowned the movie, and vowed never to direct again after making it. I don't think the movie we got was the movie he intended to make. The story itself is a bit more bleak. They definitely jazzed things up for Hollywood.
