I’ve caught glimpses of some Bluey but this is the first I saw in full and with full attention as my niece asked me to watch with her, and while what I saw before was good, this really showed me what the appeal of this show is. It’s a totally earnest look at the perseverance of the human spirit through the lens of young children, where everything is the biggest deal ever and the biggest challenge. Their bodies and brains aren’t fully developed yet. Everything they conquer is an accomplishment. It says without beating you over the head, ‘isn’t it amazing?’ And that’s just really sweet and kind to look at kids, especially younger ones, that way. This could stand alone as its own short, and the music really tied it all together.
