Age of Panic 2013

[Mubi] There is an intensity in some scenes of this first film by Justine Triet that stands out above all in a remarkable first part in which the euphoria of the socialist electoral victory is mixed with the chaos of Laetitia's personal life. A former couple unable to agree on the custody of their young daughters creates an ambiguity between both characters, with the deranged Vincent as a representation of a toxic masculinity. It is a comedy because there is a certain eccentricity in both characters, and their relationship ends like the electoral celebration, with silence after the chaos.
