i feel like the hecate/new mexico storyline lasted way too long, but glad it seems to be over now. i liked vanessa being "independent" and having her own thing for a bit, and i understand they needed her to feel isolated and scared enough to finally turn to dr. dracula, and making his true identity even worse for her when she finds out. but it's taking more than halfway through the season to reunite her w/ethan, which is too long for me. i like them together.
