I feel like the show is finally starting to take form and I'm getting a sense of what needs to be resolved even though I can see that the show may not resolve each aspect of that as the underlying story is something that is obscured by the more obvious issues presented. These episode sees a number of significant events and changes that are giving me a sense of wanting to watch more to see where it goes, whereas previously my motivation for watching was just to see more of the same and to see if it went anywhere.

I noticed that less than half of the people who rated episode 1 made it to episode 5 and then the rating count only dropped by a few which could be a result of people like me who are still watching through. The rating for episodes starts to pick up at the halfway point which might be a reflection of the fact that only the people who are into this type of show keep watching past halfway. I wonder how many votes of the series as a whole on other websites are from people who watched a couple of episodes and gave up. It's clearly not a show for everyone but some of those who didn't persevere, might have ended up enjoying the series more if they had, while some would still dislike it to the very end. An issue for any program but the ratings of an a-typical show like this will probably be skewed even more.
