Zuko and Iroh are the best part about this show by far, their relationship and characters and backstories have been well depicted and well paced. They carry all the right emotion when needed, Zuko is as serious as suits his character, and Iroh is silly enough to bring that lightness to their interactions in between. Aang on the other hand is so frustratingly serious, we haven't seen him be a child even for a moment. All he does is say incredibly deep thoughtful statements and ask questions about the importance of everything, and that's just got worse as the series has gone on. It's also frustrating how they insist on explaining EVERYTHING instead of just showing us things - having characters narrate their every thought and feeling and movement either in monologue or conversation is so much more tedious than if they'd just let us watch and understand on our own.
