Some kids find an escaped convict named Horace (Ed Asner) who they think is Santa. Horace decides to use the kids to get his hands on money he stole that he has hidden somewhere. Ed Asner and Christmas always fit together well ever since this movie. I mean; he was great in an X-Files Christmas episode as well as Santa in Elf. Asner makes Christmas Star something special as well and definitely an under-rated Christmas film.
