The Crow 2024

I went into this with an open mind, already knowing it wouldn't be able to touch the original! However it's just so bad it's almost insulting. If it had not been a direct remake then you can just see it as a bad movie that's part of the franchise, but this makes it so much worse.

The soundtrack was shocking, the characters were wooden and lifeless. The plot was all over the place and was a hot mess. The ending made no sense whatsoever, 'the crow' didn't even show up while the final boss. Speaking of the villain was just an old man brushing his hair and has a love for classical music and theatre. The CGI was poor, a couple of deaths were kinda cool but the rest was awkward.

Bill seems to be getting a loose rope after his amazing performance in 'IT' but I can't say I've enjoyed anything else he's been in. He's brooding over a girl he met in rehab and probably known maybe a few weeks at best? In the original Brandon Lee and Shelley had an actual relationship and were engaged to be married. This just felt forced and we are made to sit for 40/50 minutes while they attempt to convince us they are deeply and madly in love. Twiggs performance was grating and very amateurish, I wont be in a hurry to see her in anything else anytime soon.

It was just bad.... Really bad! 3 stars feels generous but I unfortunately have seen worse!
