@mahyurr It is not a historical lie, because it is not an historical movie. It never pretends depicting the facts, rather the story, idealized and hyperbolized by the storyteller Dilios. It intends to follow the pattern of Homer’s Iliad and Odyssey, i.e. the style of the ancient Greek authors. No one believes that Gods came down on earth to fight in the Trojan war, as no one believes Odysseus’ crew has been eaten by Cyclops or sirens, yet people still enjoy ancient Greek literature. That is why “300” is a great movie, capturing this spirit of storytelling with great artistic visuals, exceptional fighting choreography and music.
