@karobotd He never sees anything. In the the of the episode he says something to the guy's corpse in the morgue "I told you so" in reference to his "afterlife" wishes.
After the shock, he is disappointed because he wanted to be proven wrong.
@angelcosta Yeah that's what I thought he meant by the "I told you so" comment also. It confirmed House didn't see any evidence of an afterlife when he electrocuted himself.

In this episode, House finally chose to see if there really is an "afterlife", by sticking a knife into the wall socket. I believed that he did saw something. There were some silent shots of him reflecting. Those were great shots.
