This movie is about humanity confronting their own inferiority in the universe. Coming to terms with an idea: "we're not alone in the universe and we're not the most powerful beings either." That's that feeling of powerlessness that turn good men cruel. Not just about a bad guy that does something bad and the heroes have to stop him. It's about heroes question their own heroism, of power been defied, of purpose being defined. This movie represent much more than what it straightforwardly shows. And that's why I loved it.
