@mg_grey you know this is a usual thing for someone who watches anime considering how most shounen anime are, but i think you expect too much of the protag. put yourself in his shoes. he goes through so much pain and even if his physical pain resets every time, his psychological pain doesnt and thats A LOT of pain hes carrying. the fact that the protag isnt a stereotypical overpowered shounen anime protag is rather refreshing.
and honestly, the plot is interesting! its new, its disturbing and no matter how much you think things are going different and well, it might turn into hell and get reset.
just not your usual protag, thats all

Pathetic, weak. But I guess that's what makes it different from other animé, protagonist is weak and helpless, death doesn't mean much anymore since you know he'll be able to reset anyway, no empathy involved anymore. as a viewer, you just wait when he'll be able to get out of this mess, and move on to the next. the pattern's getting old actually.
