@possamai I think Ray is a warden in the prison and asked Elliot for help. The computer work always happens at night it seems because it's always dark outside judging from the windows in Ray's office. The guys that beat Elliot up are either corrupt guards or his minions inside the prison.

@rizzeal could be a warden, yes.. but there are a few plot holes though. I hope they get explained in the following episodes. They probably will be :-)

@possamai There is some theories on the net that Ray could have been a corrupt prison guard/manager that was trying to exploit Elliot while he was in his custody.
