In a 2010 survey, the Taipei Golden Horse Film Festival asked 122 film professionals to vote for the 100 greatest Chinese-language films. Most of the voters were from Taiwan, but film professionals from Hong Kong and China and Chinese cinema experts from other countries participated as well. Among the 103 films on the list, there are 11 films from China (pre-1949), 13 films from the mainland China (post-1949), 61 films from Hong Kong, 16 films from Taiwan (post-1949), 1 Hong Kong/mainland China co-production and 1 Taiwan/Hong Kong co-production.
