So, Winter Soldier is still in my #1 favorite from MCU. The main problem here was the scale, which I should have known it wouldn't be as near as big as the comics. And while the script wasn't bad, it wasn't not that great either. But the Russo Brothers are always setting the bar way up high in the directing department, so there's little competition in the MCU right know, and none in the DCEU (fuck WB for letting Snyder run their show).
Best thing about watching it is finally being able to read this MARVELOUS review by Brian Phillips: http://www.mtv.com/news/2876836/captain-america-civil-war-and-the-superhero-insecurity-state/
Maybe it was going into it knowing how high it was on RT but I didn't love it as much as I hoped. I could be burnt out on this premise thanks to the slog that was BvS, but I'm a little over "this whole being super thing really weighs on me, especially when normal people are angry when I drop a building while saving the entire human race from certain extinction." However, the fight scenes were awesome, the banter was hilarious, and every cameo and "surprise" appearance paid off. A lot of fun.
On a slightly pickier note, there were a few shots of Cap falling or running where the CG was subpar. Reminded me of Spidey hopping buildings in the first Raimi Spider-Man, like a rubber Gumby flopping around. Maybe I was looking too hard. Ooh, also the best cameo has nothing to do with a superhero but a certain vehicle that stars in one of the best TV shows of all time. That's all I'm going to say. Oh, also that you will have some hop ons.
The name of the movie has "Civil War", but that isn't a "Civil war", there is only a miss understand between there heroes !
my first disappointment of marvel, the script was too simple and a little foolish, well and my favorite friendship is wrecked due to a ridiculous argument, well at least ant man and Spiderman looked great even though it's so extra that they made aunt May younger, anyways...
hear ye for those who hasn't watched this movie, WATCHED!! its damn good!!
It was great.one of marvels best.
Speaking about this movie is the best Marvel is a great lier.
best movie! i love chris evans, sebastian and elizabeth.
someone can tell me how this product is used ? for more I try to watch a movie I can not see and buy my everyone who subscribes
Very good movie love it
first half was blah.....2nd half was amazing
One of the better Marvel Cinematic Universe films. Spiderman definitely stole the movie. The battle between Team Iron Man and Cap was definitely underwhelming. Probably because of the number of heroes being too few, haha. The battle field atmosphere didn't help. It even added to the emptiness of the fight, tbh.
Captain America just deserve the shield,as Peggy saved Tony's father.
Once you get over the fact, that Avengers Movies have turned into a hight-tech Pyjama party of all sorts of heroes it's a pretty good movie.
Age of Ultron was really bad, but this movie puts the franchise back on track.
Great movie. I was about to give it 10 but I have to save 1 if there would ever be a better one :) If you like Marvel's movies you will be very satisfied.
Kinda disappointed really.
We all knew this wasn't going to be like the comics since they don't have the rights to all their heroes. But I thought that since they're going through with it, they must've come up with something good.
Well, the biggest problem with the movie is that they didn't know what to do with the heroes they DO have. So we end up with Vision not doing anything. Just sitting around. Wearing a sweater. And cooking.
And then there's Iron Man. The Incredible Iron Man with his amazing suit. Are you seriously telling me he can't defeat two (a bit extraordinary) humans? I get that at the airport fight he wasn't really trying to hurt Cap's team but what about later on when he found out that Bucky killed his parents? Shouldn't he have gone all out? I think that a much better ending to the movie would have been Iron Man attacking Bucky and accidentally killing Cap while he was protecting him.
Also I was really looking forward to Daniel Bruhl's Baron Zemo but there wasn't much to see here either...
Overall, there are a lot of problems with the plot. Probably because there isn't one!
Luckily we have Spider-Man and Black Panther in this movie. Their introductions and fights are amazing and make it worth watching. Can't wait for their solo movies!
So, in my opinion, the movie is watchable despite of all the plot related problems but it definitely doesn't deserve to be called Civil War. They should have thought of another title.
By far the best superhero movie ever created!!
My favorite Marvel movie to date!
I don't think people know what spoilers are. #ShiftvW8
Great movie, it really hit all the points it should have and marvel finally produced a villain with a plan and reasons behind it. Great work!
I think it was Marvel's best film so far, fantastic action sequence, nice comic relief. Spider-man stole the appearances for me
Best part of the entire movie? Spiderman. You'll really love him once he appears on your screen.
It's not another epic movie with lots of fighting, shooting and spectacular explosions. Well, of course, there are pretty much of them, but I was captured by the main ethical issue of the film. On Twitter people are asking to choose the side, it's not that easy tho.
I would give 9/10
I hope next Avengers will be more impressive
Captain America Civil War is about the fact that The Avengers made some serious mistakes, which killed a lot of innocents. So the government made up a contract which says they don’t go after people on there own anymore. The Avengers all reacted differently which made them split up into two groups, Team Cap and Team Iron Man. Iron Man is for the contract, Captain America is against. Then there is also the fact that someone is pretending to be Bucky and committing crimes as Bucky. So Iron Man gets mad at Bucky and Captain America does everything to protect him. AKA there is a lot of anger is this movie.
The movie started off with a fight scene. Which was a very cool fight scene, the only thing was that it really frustrated me that the camera dude apparently could’t keep his hands any sort of still. I watched the movie in IMAX 3D so maybe that’s why it kind of bothered me in the beginning. But after a while I didn’t mind it at all, and it just felt like you were more a part of the movie. I would highly recommend watching this movie in IMAX 3D cuz it was great. The movie was filled with fighting scenes and my favorite one was where both teams go against each other ya feel. All the cool characters together (that’s funny cuz they weren’t actually “together” ha) and there was surprisingly a lot of comedy in that battle too, which I personally really enjoyed.
Apart from all the lovely comebacks there where some new faces as well! First we got Black Panther, who has the coolest suit, but he was a bit too determent to get to Bucky, but once there will be more movies about him (which I guess is going to happen?) that for sure will change and I think I’ll start liking him a bit more once that happens. ALSO the new Spider-Man! He’s such a kid though, haha. I adore Tom Holland as Spider-Man he is so funny, I can’t wait for more, I love it. I also want to take a moment to praise Paul Rudd, because he is the coolest and he made me laugh, a lot. Okay so, I can keep talking about all the characters, and I can keep going on for quite a while as well, but I won’t because they are all just so cool. I have a lot of feelings. One thing I want to say though is that I keep getting more and more frustrated about Black Widow, I’m sorry I know there a probably a whole lot of fans out there but I just keep questioning why she’s in the movies. I mean, she is a good and pretty dope fighter but that’s it. I most of the time felt like that about Hawkeye as well, but not in this movie, so that’s great.
It was a lot like Batman v Superman, almost the same storyline only some different characters, obviously ha. But I really really enjoyed it! It was so entertaining and the movie ended before I even knew. I really love the characters and it was fun to finally get to know more about their stories. I can’t wait till this continuous. I already said a lot, and although I could still go on for quiet a while I’ll stop now, so y’all can go watch this cool movie :-)
O Filme é uma obra de arte
I liked the movie. The build up was slow, but later the film began more and more to get in. I was definitely for Team Captain and at the ending I was still for him. When I'm a superhero, I do not want a government that determines what I can do when.
Anyway, i really liked Spider-man, his jokes, awesome. A really good movie, not perfect.
Totally lost my mind when I saw Spider-Man. I was like geeking out, my wife sat there face palming in the cinema through out the entire experience. Totally worth price of admission. sure it had its faults, but awesome non the less!
I give it a 9/10
Possibly the best Marvel yet. The fallout between the superheroes becomes more intense as it goes on. Ant Man has the hugest scene. Spiderman is perfectly portrayed by Tom Holland. Black Panther brings heart and soul to the movie, especially towards the end. Nearly a triumph.
Excellent movie! The action was amazing, and even though they departed almost completely from the comic book storyline (which was a story I loved), I feel like all the changes were perfect for what they've done in the MCU (Marvel Cinematic Universe).
Every time I think Marvel can't top themselves with action sequences, they go and do it again. At some point they'll have to hit their peak, right? But the battle at the airport that the trailers tease is SO enjoyable and well-done, I have a hard time believing they can outdo this one. It is unbelievable!
The new characters they introduce are pretty cool too--Black Panther & Spider-Man. I think people are going to LOVE Spidey. Can't wait to see him get his own movie (& Black Panther's looks like it could be pretty good too). But in the end, this movie is about Cap & Iron Man and it does well to keep the focus on them.
That brings me to one of the main thoughts I had as I watched: The conflict between characters in this movie felt so much more natural than in "Batman v Superman" (even though I liked that movie) and the feelings you have when heroes battle was so much stronger--probably because we've had 8 years & 8-10 movies to get to know all these characters. But the Russo brothers are good at giving characters believable motivations without taking forever for you to understand them. They also do great adding twists and emotional ups and downs, and they do well what comic book movies SHOULD do... add the right amount of humor to keep things from getting too dark. But they also don't shy away from consequences of the heroes' actions either.
I think the more you're into the Marvel Universe, the more fun you'll have watching the movie, but if you haven't seen any of the other films, I'm not sure this is the best jumping-on point either. Lots of people to keep track of, & if you're not familiar with the character relationship dynamics, it won't carry as much of an emotional impact.
"Captain America: Civil War" is a solidly entertaining movie. Be warned: the run time is almost 2 & 1/2 hours--so don't get the jumbo drink & make sure you hit the restroom before it starts. But I enjoyed the story and action so much I didn't FEEL like it was too long. (I honestly wouldn't have minded the story keep going...)
I'd give this one 3.5 out of 4 stars
The film is pretty serious itself; like Dawn of the Justice. Except Civil War is funner and better made. Definitely gives fans a bigger nerdgasm as well lol.
The best one from #MCU yet! A near-perfect superhero cinematic masterpiece.
One of the best Marvel with the best Spiderman 2 post credits scenes. Quite a few people in the cinema. I put myself on the side of Captain.Black Panther fine too
The only let down was Stan Lee's cameo Mrs Stank was not impressed
Just watched. Good movie, but it got bogged down by all the elements it had to juggle successfully. Spidey was REALLY good.
Bloody loved it. Only one beef is.....

They killed Rumelow off too quickly and easily
Two protagonist hurting each other until they bleed to death will really break your heart.
Am I the only one that's not happy with Spider-Man being in it?

It was a good time. Some complain about the lack of levity in the movie but given its a story about protagonist vs protagonist it has to take a more serious tone. It was a fun movie. I would definitely watch it again.
