Dear White People 2014

A satire about being a Black face in a white place.
Four black students attend an Ivy League college where a riot breaks out over an “African American” themed party thrown by white students. With tongue planted firmly in cheek, the film explores racial identity in 'post-racial' America while weaving a story about forging one's unique path in the world.

Angry lecture disguised as comedy? Well-aimed social satire? Or both? You decide!

This movie balances the interesting subject matter (modern day racism) and diverse character development really well imo I didn't expect to like it as much as I did I would recommend it to people

Likeable characters and a pretty witty script, but feels somewhat shallow and lacking in plot and character motivation .
