Probably watched this film 30+ times
Massive nostalgic attachment to this film which really is quite cheesy. Surprisingly, the special effects have held up well for a 25 year old movie and a quality villain makes up for the rather superficial and at times, nonsensical, plot.
Also a film I want to rate higher due to how much I loved it as a kid, but, while it isn't quite Princess Bride tier family fare, to me it's still a classic, and is filled with memorable moments, and was from a time when films like this were purely made to entertain. The cast is great and have fun chemistry together for the lighter moments, and Quaid and Christie muster the needed pathos for the dramatic moments. Stay far away from any of the sequels, since they're purely direct-to-video cheapies without the original cast.
very good movie to see i cry when i was kid
Rewatching this film after a long time just to see the entire franchise and noticed a familiar name.
Phil Tippett! One of the coolest storytellers and responsible for tons of the OT Star Wars models amongst so much more, is the creator of the dragon designs after Jurassic Park obviously.
An amazing talent and so glad I realized he was one of the key creators of Draco! Phil Tippett is a legend.
Bowen (Dennis Quaid) blames all dragons for King Einon (David Thewis) being an asshole. Because Draco gave Einon half his heart to spare him from death. Bowen doesn’t realize that Einon was always bad. But kills most of the dragons.
Despite some really good CGI for the dragon. With Sean Connery in good form. Dragonheart is good but not as memorable as it should be.
A movie beauty and amazing!
you can tell from the first look at einon that he's an asshole.
vraiment un bon film d'enfance !
