1

Movies I plan to watch.

I know that there are lot of classics still left on this list. I'm trying to get to them but there are just too many movies and too little time.

Including my TV show watchlist I would need to watch 3 hours every day until 2028 to watch everything on here.

Underrated/Underseen Crime Flick Picks of the New Millennium

All crime flicks listed here: small films, foreign language imports, high-profile flops or victims of unjust critical dismissal. Some were even moderately successful, but deserve to be in more conversations, others are new, but under-exposed. Didn't love every one of these, but they all have a reason to be here.

The Last Frontier is the official nickname of Alaska. Alaska is thought of as "America's Last Frontier" because of its distance from the lower 49 states and because of its rugged landscape and climate. This remote and rugged perception is evidenced by the fact that only about 1/3 of the state has been organized into political units; 13 boroughs (similar to counties) are defined (source: netstate.com). Alaska became the 49th state of the United States of America in 1959.

These movies have a connection with Alaska. They are (partially) filmed there or it's a topic in the story.

One of my favorite horror sub-genres, folk horror, is usually slower and more atmospheric than typical horror films. Focused more on pagan ideology, witchcraft, nature, or the occult, and usually located in the woods or rural countryside, folk horror brings a distinctly different flavor to such a rich genre. If you’re new to folk-horror, The Unholy Trinity (The Blood on Satan’s Claw, The Witchfinder General, The Wicker Man) is the best place to start as they are three of the earliest and best. These films are not always as outright terrifying as other horror movies that are all about the scares, but they have a way of burrowing under your skin with their unassuming, almost pleasant facades—picturesque countrysides, friendly towsfolk, quaint lifestyles—but are always hiding something more sinister underneath...
