Pretty good take on telling the story behind one of the architechts of Texan independence from Mexico. Most movies in this period focus on Davey Crockett or Jim Bowie so it was refreshing to see Houston giving the true story telling he deserves. Sam Elliot was typically brilliant playing a deep and often conflicted character. This TV movie remains a hidden gem.
