They definitely speedran the beginning (I think Sid meets Manny within the first five minutes of the movie), but it got better as it went on. The chemistry between the characters is fun, but there's hardly any depth, especially for a movie that's trying as hard as this one. Still a fun time, at least.
Also, I adore the way Sid moves. It's so goofy.
I liked this a lot as a kid and rewatching it now it is fine. The animation is a little dated but the story is good. The voice acting is great.
"Why don't they call it The Big Chill? Or The Nippy Era? I'm just sayin', how do we know it's an Ice Age?"
I can see why they wanted to make a franchise out of this. It is delightful and as a kids movie they didn't shy away from death and impending doom. The premise is a lot more simple than I thought it would be, but I guess the sequels get crazier as time goes.
A very fun, enjoyable movie. I use to love it as a kid but now that I've re-watched as an adult I see the truth of it; it's not that good.
The scene in the movie where we find out what what happend to manny's family never fails to make me cry.
timeless, it never gets old
I am in love with this cutest squad!
One of the early digital animation movies, Ice Age had this "certain something" later movies of the genre (e.g. Ice Age 2) miss. It is very funny to watch and especially Scarts will make you laugh out loud!
A beautiful movie. The dialogues were hilarious and the kid was "cho cute" :D
I like sloths you know
The movie itself is fine, but what it started isn't forgivable. One bit.
It's definitely for kids. I had to watch this with my siblings awhile back, and it's painfully obvious they're just cashing in
