OK I know this is gonna sound crazy but you gotta listen! ALL of these movies revolve around some kind of conspiracy! There’s even one called “The Conspiracy,” how obvious is that? See, I figured it out, they’re all connected by the styles of slow burn storytelling, a growing sense of paranoia, and the eventual uncovering of a massive, secret plot. Please, you’ve gotta believe me! They’re all out to get us, and if you don’t believe me, it might be too late! No, we can’t call the cops, they’re in on it. I don’t need a doctor, they got the doctors in on it too. Wait, why are you stalling? Oh my God you’re one of THEM, aren’t you?

Art is the principal way in which the human mind has tried to remake the world in a way that makes sense. The carefully edited, slow-motion, action replay of a rugby tackle, a car crash or a sex act has more significance than the original event. Thanks to virtual reality, we will soon be moving into a world where a heightened super-reality will consist entirely of action replays, and reality will therefore be all the more rich and meaningful.
