Garbage. Butler has starred in some bad movies over the years but this is the absolute worst!
What a crap crap film.
Breakdown 9/10
The Vanishing(original) 8/10
Last Seen Alive 7/10
The Vanishing(Neeson) 6/10
Not bad but if you like it then there’s two better similar films out there to watch!
Decent action/thriller flick. Better than Liam Neeson’s last one, sort of same category
I'm 30 minutes into this movie and I'm already leaving a comment. The writers of these shows in today's market, wow
So the husband already had proof that the gas station attendant lied to the cop about the cameras not working right, then when you look at the video you see some shady dude talking to the wife then a truck blocks the actually kidnap but when the truck move the wife and the shady dude and a car is gone....but the cop wants to take the husband to a room and throw suspicion at him? Wow
Just your typical wife goes missing while you gas up the car movie. It's all been done before so there's nothing new really.
Entertaining enough, just don't expect too much and you'll be ok.
7.5/10
By the dozen low budget actioner that did not even reach Liam Neeson's standard. Not awful, and Butler is doing a decent job but very cheap and so generic that surely, we can find better ways to spend 90 minutes
German Movie naming is strange. Why change the original Movie title "Last seen Alive" into "Chase" in germany. Why changing a totally fine english movie title into another english word? Are three words english to much for the average german? I don't get it.
This movie is AWFUL! I wanted to like it with the Butler and a couple of the actors, but the wife is horrible. Worst actress ever. And it's downhill from there.
Butler plays a wealthy real estate developer whose wife is abducted at a gas station. Instead of calling the cops at each interval he gets a chance, into, etc., he's doubling down like a moron into a crime spree of his own.
The cops are written like Barney Fife. Once you catch a guy in a lie, any cop worth their salt would immediately be asking everyone who the guy in the video was, especially the clerk that lied. The cop detective tells the parents there's no crime, but there's a suspicious circumstances.
Add in a rich white woman goes missing and no one blinks an eye? BS.
Then the whole abducting the perp, running from another cop, just stupid garbage after stupid garbage. And entirely over a cheating ho. It's a ZERO if they let us give a zero.
Absolutely 100% exactly what you're expecting.
With all the known actors involved in this movie, I was expecting it to be so good. I love Jaimie Alexander since Kyle XY but this movie is so disappointing. The plot is stupid. It didn’t pull me in. Not a total waste, it was great background noise as I fixed my Kindle. As one commentor said “actors need to make a living”
Been there, seen that, but still worth a watch. Not too terribly exciting but sometimes a simple story with a good character actor (Butler) is a good thing.
Crap just go a new low
Worth it. Good although not the best. Low budget but still manage to deliver a thrilling plot.
This is a good solid action movie. It reminds me of another great film Breakdown 1997 Kurt Russell.
bit of a lame duck give it 5/10
It was better than I expected, entertaining with good rithm.
I like Gerard and knew this wasn't going to be great, but was in the mood for a silly little adult thriller. It does the job, and isn't overly long. 5.5 for me but marginally closer to a 5 than a 6. I'd consider a 6/10 a good movie. Many consider 6 a poor score. I do not. This was just shy of that level for what I was looking for.
I think this is the first bad movie Gerard Butler acted in. Made it half way through and gave up.
decent popcorn amusement, but nothing special and not really a movie thats going to become a classic. no plot twists. nothing you cant see coming from miles away. but yeah. its ok :) it's a bit Jane Doe level quality, so seeing Jamie Alexander in here makes perfect sense.
A run of the mill thriller that is hampered by poor acting and unbearable nonsense BUT lifted by one “cracking” scene and a great music soundtrack. It plods along and then suddenly switches gear to a (not quite) edge of your seat finale. Overall, worth a watch… 6/10.
One of the worst movies about kidnapping.
It's okay to pass the time, but it helps if it lasts 90 minutes.
Adequate but uninteresting. I was worried especially with the poster that they would turn this man into a super hero type action star. They didn't. But what's left is a movie that wasn't all that interesting. Gets point for being at least clear and consistent.
even If the end is... well you will see. the movie is good
Medium movie  aardig cliché
His wife had enough time to run away from her kidnapper during the car scene. :joy:
What can I say...[spoiler I like movies with happy endings [/spoiler]
Not too bad, just another easy to watch action movie don’t expect anything special!!
