Complete waste of time, what a trash!
Watchable smile humour comedy that seems to just run out of steam rather than actually end.
Me Time more like Waste of Me Time
Hart tried his best to carry this, but it's quite poor. We wanted to put this on and laugh at stupid childish humour. It missed the mark far more often than not. 3.5
Half a star for Jimmy O. Yang
What a shame! I didn't go into this movie with the highest of expectations and yet it surprised me. The movie opened up with what I thought was going to be their big set piece. So I was thankful I didn't have to wait for the entire movie to see a scene that looked like it was going to be kind of lame. It opened with that and from there I had no idea what was coming. Next. Acts 1 and 2 were actually kind of interesting. We got to meet our characters. We have our home body dad. We have our work hard. Mom and we have the best friend who's a party animal and it didn't go in the ways that these movies typically go. We had a great setup. We had some interesting tangos and it managed to avoid a lot of retread ground with the exception of the gross out humor of watching someone throw up repeatedly. Those that never needs to be seen in movies anymore. I don't know why they keep making this happen but I don't derive any sort of pleasure from watching someone throw up. You could have just cut away and had it making the sounds and it would have been just as effective.
The problem with this movie is they didn't actually write a third act. They just sort of let the movie meander. And then when they were making it they figured. Oh we'll just use the same thing we do in every movie. It really brought down the whole movie when our main character gets treated like any other sitcom husband when that's not who he is. I don't think the script or the screenplay really respect the character, at least not an act. 3. The completely underwritten thrown together act 3 where they just decided to make it like every other movie about husband who's a little too jealous or a little too rowdy and everything is his fault. It hurt my feelings because the movie was actually having a good time. I was laughing at jokes I was following along with our characters. I was eager to see where it would go and then it just suddenly did in the bout face and went in the most predictable manner I've ever seen and it turned a movie that while not mind-blowingly original I was having a decent time with and it made it not fun. It drags down the whole movie that have an end like that because nothing in this ending matches what these characters were set up for. It's not the '90s anymore. Stop making '90s movies. If I want to go watch a '90s movie that's what DVDs are for.
I knew it would be a bit rubbish and I wasn’t wrong. No laugh at loud moments unfortunately!
Like your roommate's dirty laundry, you've already seen this without having watched it.
Another Netflix comedy where you forget to laugh because nothing surprises you. The advantage is, you can see the whole movie just by looking at the poster.
Another crappy netflix movie, with lame jokes and wokeness sprinkled throughout. Hollywood killed comedy with PC/WOKE culture.
This movie sucks. Could write a whole long thing about it, but can’t be bothered to waste more time on this garbage movie. Like how is the resolve for this movie - reads notes - start a kids’ party business…?
It had it’s good moments but also had it’s cheesy ones that overpowered the good ones, it was a simple predictable plot with some cast like Mark Wahlberg that didn’t fit their roles, nothing brilliant, shit CGI, something i couldn’t missed but it was watchable.
Very daft and predictable but was an enjoyable watch. It feels like something I've seen a million times before but if you're looking for something to waste away an afternoon then you can definitely give this a go.
Horrible Red Box style movie.
Nothing special, you can skip it
When you’re scrolling on Netflix and see a Mark Wahlberg and Kevin Hart movie that you’ve never heard of, you instantly know two things:
1.) You need to watch it (assuming you like either)
2.) It is probably a trash movie
This movie falls nicely into confirming the theories; however, I actually quite enjoyed it. The audience scores on it are awful. But I truly think that’s largely because expectations of these two are high and/or people love to hate their content. Is it worth recommending? Not at all. If it were, it would have gone to theaters. It is totally an average movie, with many generic plot points and some butt humor throughout. Is that for everyone? Nope. But it works for me, and if you have an interest in either lead, this is worthwhile for you to check out!
Rating: 2.5/5 - 7/10 - Worth Watching
Thought it started off cute and funny but then devolved quickly into unfunny poop humor. Seemed like it couldn't decide if it was a bro-com or a family comedy, and didn't do wither well.
Not the best comedy. Not worth a watch. Do not waste your time. Do not watch!
What a mediocre movie, nothing special. Recycled jokes .
Generic Netflix comedy movie. its the same ol same ol with this "original" movie.
It’s amazing how an attempted murder gets to have so much fame. Must be so nice to be white, world forgives you for causing havoc and ruining peoples lives.
Didn't laugh all that much a very generic comedy. The actors play themselves. Hart is the standout but even his jokes don't always land.
I love Kevin Hart and Mark Wahlberg. They are supported by an awesome cast here, including my boy Jian-Yang from Silicon Valley (Jimmy O. Yang). They need to make more of these.
Critics haven't been kind about this comedy movie but it's not as bad as some are suggesting. It's a bit messy at times and the jokes don't always land but there are enough funny moments to hold the attention, largely thanks to Hart who is on good form here.
How much did Apple Pay for that product placement!?
I really enjoyed it. Kevin Hart needs to continue doing rated r comedies.

I think the ending is the best
