Place Publique is a premature and wholly unnecessary remake of last year's C'est la vie (Le Sens de la fête, in French).
Like its predecessor, we're guests in a party we aren't a part of, full of people we don't know who are arse deep in their personal dramas we couldn't care less about if they were naked and dancing in our kitchens.
If you don't know French cinema, this is a terrible place to start and if you're familiar with the routine couplings of the Jaoui-Bacri duo, this is a terrible place to go.
