so it should be a horror movie, but seems much more like a thriller where not really anything happens. i liked the movie and the atmosphere but it was waaaaaay to unscary. ending was very nice but was dealt with too fast. i think this could have been a very nice movie, if some things would have been align a little bit better.
A slow burn but a good one. A nice little suspense movie to keep you guessing.
A really good movie with some sustained moments of suspense and few, if any, stupid jump scares. Nicole Munoz is great as the angry daughter who's Mom finally pushes her to the edge, which in this case is performing an occult ritual in the woods.
If you don't like having to fill in some blanks on your own, you won't like this film. Question marks abound, like what actually happened to Leah's friend Janice? What exactly transpired at the end of the film?
There isn't much in the way of gore here thankfully, but it's quite suspenseful. The thing that comes out of the woods is seldom seen, but when it is, it's extremely effective.
I'm surprised because I have no expectation whatsoever, the movie was great, I'm really digging the story
I dunno why I expected this to be better.
Solid little psychodrama about a strain on a mother-daughter relationship in dealing with grief. As a horror film it doesn't deliver big scares, but instead acts as a slow burn that piles on the dread. I dug it quite a bit.
Didn't like it, at all. Very slow burning before anything actually happened. Cast weren't the best at acting either.
A big old nothing of a movie! Has a good concept but a paper-thin story scuppers it.
Slow, boring, dumb potagonist. Can't really think of a more boring ending...
Ignoring its uneven pacing, Pyewacket is a dark, angst riddled treat for horror fans with some solid scares, decent effects and a poignant finale to boot.

Don't mess with the dark arts.
