I had expected to hate this movie, but I didn't.
It's not the best in the world, but it sure as hell ain't the worst.
It’s not as bad as they say. The action is pretty well done for one. The movie just didn’t need old Tonto (Johnny Depp) telling the story. That to me is the worst aspect of it.
I saw this film for two reasons. One, I wanted to see what the commotion was about. It tooks years to make this film, supposedly because the studio thought that it would be awful. But I also saw it because I was jonesing for a movie that had a 7.1 surround track on it and these seem to be few and far between. I really didn't mind it. There were parts that were really really funny and parts that were hokey. In a weird kind of way I had the same kind of thoughts about this film that I had about Blue Jasmine. I really didn't know what it was trying to be. A comedy? Western? Drama? Supernatural thriller? Excused to see Johnny Depp play an extravagant character? (side note: he is awesome) . As a comedy it really worked at times. As a drama, not so much. I could see this going more of a Coen-esque route and being even more of an off-beat comedy than it already was.

the best thing about this movie is the villain
Not exactly sure what to think, just so... weird?
It is solid entertainment. I would place this movie alongside Waterworld, The Last Action Hero, and John Carter as unfairly panned films which deserves to succeed in the cinema halls.
Without Deep the movie is shit.
Not nearly as bad as they say. The film just doesn't know if it wants to be a dark Western or a comedy adventure. The Lone Ranger is a goofy but fun film one minute and wants us to take it seriously the next. It does that throughout the film.
While Tonto telling the story is unnecessary and slows the film down. Still, no way is the movie all that bad.
I wish this movie had focused more on the potential for classic Western charm and less on being an effects-driven, overly long, CGI-laden attempt at a blockbuster.
I found the beginning and the end to be quite funny, the rest I thought was a little bland. Not all the characters were explained very well. Loved the William Tell Overture during the end.
Very long, no good, one time see only
Not quite as good as Pirates of the Caribbean, but still fun.
Decepciona porque con semejante presupuesto pudieron hacer una peli memorable, la historia estuvo interesante y la actuación pudo ser mejor.
This movie was kinda dumb, but I still enjoyed it.
What this movie suffers from is being too LONG. Though, despite that, I can't say all of it was boring. The final train sequence made it worth sitting through. Great VFX work by ILM! And not to mention Depp shining in a role that was obviously made for him. This is a movie I wouldn't actively recommend to someone, yet I wouldn't object if someone wanted to watch it. In other words, not a bad movie, but not a memorable one either.
Wow, what a terrible movie. By the end I wanted to stab myself in the eye with a dead raven.
Disappointing movie. The acting is ok, but not convincing. Story is not really interesting (I watched it 3 days ago, and I cannot even recall it without trying really hard) and the 'wise' lessons are pretty silly, lack impact and are misplaced several times.
Try to find something better, if you can't, don't expect too much of it and you will be fine.
Not that bad , only the last 20min was kind of boring
Nowhere near as bad as the box office would suggest, there are some fun moments here throughout that harken back to the first Pirates film, with Armie Hammer and Johnny Depp playing off each other nicely and some great action scenes involving trains. That said, the film is also plagued by similar problems to the Pirates sequel, with a bloated running time and plot elements that take the premise far too seriously and add little to the film. An unnecessary framing device only adds to the feeling that the filmmakers aren't quote sure what tone to take with the material and a good 45 minutes cut from the running time would have made for a much tighter (and likely cheaper) film. But when that theme kicks in and the film lets loose, there is a lot of enjoyment to be had.
Not worth your time.
We didn't even bother to finish it. It's slow to develop, Depp is NOT a believable Native American and it doesn't have the energy of other movies of a similar nature (Pirate of the Caribbean).
Enjoyed this very much, but still not a patch on the classic spaghetti western films.
Couldn't watch it to the end! The only one keeping the thing going is JD but still it get's boring.
Awesome. Although i would've liked a bit more controversy.
Wow what a ride
I prefer the palette of Pirates, but Gore Verbinski is still just so much fun here.
Good humor , johnny depp was good as always
I expected more. not a bad movie though
I liked very much. Depp is in top form. Hammer grows on you overtime and makes a great Ranger IMO. Overall, if you liked Pirates of the Caribbean, then you'll surely like this. A long film (149mins), but I never found myself getting bored or restless. Top entertainment all around. 9/10 from me.
The trailer promises some incredible camera work & visuals :O
I can't wait to see this!

It took me 3 different sittings to complete watching this movie. Fun at the start, but in the middle, it gets a little boring.
