30

Feature films directed by Akira Kurosawa (1910-1998)

The film "Those Who Make Tomorrow (1946)" is absent from this list, due to the fact that Kurosawa co-directed this particular movie against his will, owing to his contractual obligations with Toho studios at the time. It stands as the singular work in his oeuvre where he did not claim exclusive directorial credit. Consequently, this movie is generally not factored into the tally of his celebrated 30 films, although some filmographies do incorporate it.
