Like a used sofa, The Nannies is comfortable and enjoyable when there's lots of people even if there's nothing really new about it.
A simple film where a young woman from the streets becomes an endearing nanny and defender of neighborhood nannies, the film rises above the cliches thanks to an engaging performance by the wonderful Eye Haidara. Or maybe it just felt like that because the full theater I saw it in enjoyed it, as well.
