There are three timelines in the TCM franchise. The first begins with the original The Texas Chainsaw Massacre (1974). It has a sequel in TCM2, and reboots pretending to be sequels in TCM3 and 4. The second starts with TCM: The Beginning and proceeds into the 2003 remake, The Texas Chainsaw Massacre (2003). The third timeline begins with Leatherface and then proceeds through the 1974 original to the TC3D movie.
