Watching the UFC from its debut card in Denver, CO all the way to its current state (and to the point I'm at right now in my progressive viewing of every UFC card) has really helped in giving me a different - sometimes more positive, sometimes not so positive - perspective on a lot of the different UFC "legends". Jon Jones was one of those and this card definitely helped alter my viewpoint of Jones...and in a more positive way. Hats off to Jones and Matt Hamill both for the way they responded after their fight; both were classy and professional and neither offered any excuses as to the way the fight ended. The biggest - far and away - disappointment on this card was the debut of Kimbo Slice; his fight against Houston Alexander could have and should have been one for the ages but Alexander, for all his talk about what he intended to do, was nothing but a scared little rabbit that ran away for 14 out of the 15 minutes. What an absolute joke of a fight, and what a disgrace to the title of "MMA Fighter" when you don't fight...you just run away. No respect at all, and I hope Alexander gets his butt handed to him by multiple opponents. The rest of the card was also highly watchable; with the exception of the Kimbo Slice vs Houston Alexander non-fight, there were no "one of 'em is scared and the other one is glad about it" matches here. And the main event featuring Roy Nelson vs Brendan Schaub turned out to be a doozie. Definitely recommend watching this card!
