An Unexpected Surprise, And A Hell Of A Cast Line Up. It Is An Unapologetic Action Movie With The Cast To Back It Up. A Fun Thrilled Ride, Could Have Been A Better Story Which I Was Expecting With This Line Up Of Actors.
It Didn't Have The Depth That I Was Expecting From This Cast, I Wanted More From The Characters But I Did Like The Way It Ended And Hoping For More.

There is nothing original or remarkable in this movie. It's an honest action movie that doesn't try to be anything else. The cast is clearly what pulls you into this movie. A little bit less running time would have helped the pace as it drags a little bit after they went down with the helicopter. The ending was a bit dissapointing . Soundtrack is really good, though. Overall a good "7", something you can watch once.
Great example of how stocking great actors doesn't guarantee a great movie
First off, don't go into this expecting a pure action film. It's not. A few moments of action supplement the combination of a heist story that morphs into a survival story that takes turns giving commentary on greed, post-military life, and the value of violence. The cast is superb and the film is gorgeously shot, accentuating the film's themes. The only thing I wasn't a fan of was the somewhat trite final scene. Barring that, I was engaged from beginning to end.
One part macho action movie.
One part heist thriller.
One part morality tale.
It's a triple frontier, and competent (if not outstanding) in all three areas.
For so such a big actoresI expected a lot more. At least more action. Sometimes it even was boring. Sadly.
That crap is the proof that Netflix became Hollywood bullshit for quite some time now.
That are so many things wrong with that movie, the geographic references are all wrong, Brazilian culture does not look at all like the representation in that shitty movie, they put on a traffic signboard saying they are getting in to Brazil by BR 471, that means they are getting in to Brazil by Uruguay, THERE ARE NO Amazon forest in Uruguay, it would be waaaaay easier to just go to the Atlantic form Uruguay instead of crossing the whole Uruguay and Argentina to get to Pacific by crossing the fucking the Andes from CHILE, not Peru, and they would never survive one single night in the Andes without alpinist gear, because its cold as shit, its just one of the highest places in the world.
As soon as they find the money, they lost it! they forget every single thing about being in a tactical situation like that, the throw their rifles back, they do not keep guard, they forget about CQB, they forget about the time planned AND they didn't even have sure that the house was actually empty, because they didn't clear it all!
And what about that hot piece of ass? just put a damn bullet on her head for fuck sake; doooone problem solved!
They burn money!! And fucking laugh about it!!!! FUCK NO! They did not applied the Pablo flex correctly!! hell no!
They would take weeks to cross the Andes after the chopper crash, especially with that many heavy bags of money, and they would actually die trying to do that, they do not seem to be anywhere near as tired as anyone in that altitude would be, especially carrying that much weight and for that much time.
And at the fricki'n end of the movie, Pope, the asshole who thought in going to that shitty place to do that shitty job, decides that he don wanna kill DRUG FUCKING DEALERS, because now he had a moral growth after seen his bitch ass friend dying like a girl, pleeeease, can somebody remember the writers that those fuckers were supposed to be SPEC OPS VETS??? WTF? He gives money, MONEY to a drug dealer, "get out of this life boy!!!", fuck that shit, kill that fucking worm, kill everybody, throw napalm in their houses, they are DRUG DEALERS, I really miss the days they Stallone a Schwarzenegger killed everything that moves and did not wear a Merica flag, fuck this moral horseshit about not killing criminals because "they are just kids", we all know that American soldiers have a special taste for blood!!
Like a guy has said in the earlier comments, this movie is the proof that good actors do not guarantee a good movie
Worst war/combat movie I ever watched, congrats, you just won the place of zero dark trinity, with a fuckin woman yelling shit to the seal team six, haha!
That movie should be a comedy!
Was a good action movie. The best thing about it was that the characters didn't make stupid choices and made sane discussions. The first half of the movie was better than the second, action lacked on the second half and was mainly about them arguing over stuff or making manly speeches. I was thinking the organizer guy was going to fuck them over at the end, I mean a plot twist like that, but nothing happened. Overall 7/10.
worst movie ever,,,,why put a bullet on batman head?
it’s not what you’d think, it’s slow in parts, and goes from bad to worse, but not in an action-packed way, but more of a life is shit kinda way
Good cast. Awful, bad movie.
Expected a lot more after all the hype. Not bad but nothing special.
A surprisingly good movie, without the macho BS you get from similar movies like this.
very simple action movie that you can watch only once maybe. the cast what drags you to see it and to me it did it's purpose! a good 7 for me
I liked a lot. It's surprising how the plot develops. No cliches. To me a small honest movie. Liked a lot how it ends. Says some beautiful things. I wasn't prepared. Even the final twist (the paper) gets me (it's hard for it happens).
I enjoyed this movie quite a lot it's not just pure action like the trailer might make it seem like it is a heist movie that builds great tension throughout the film The middle is a little slow there are some survival man versus nature stuff that probably could be trimmed but it's a great cast gorgeously shot
film
Almost forgot how cool Oscar Isaac can be, when he's not in a Star Wars movie. Actors and story were good, but it began feeling too stretched out and had lost its drive by the end. I also felt it could have been more suspenseful and that generally things went too well for them. Until the end of course.
Didn't work for me 6.1/10 could be wayy better..
Decent movie. It wasn't anything super great and it wasn't anything super bad. They ended up doing the operation of attempting to steal the $75 million a lot sooner into the movie than I was expecting so I feel like the rest of the movie after that was pretty much unneeded. The rest of the movie had to be the way it was and had to be there because of the whole plot of the movie happened too soon. It may have been more enjoyable if their plan was more complex and took more time so they'd attempt it at least halfway into the movie. The last half dragged the movie longer than it easily could've been. In the end, the movie felt pointless. I'm not going to reminisce this movie, ever.
It's ok but nothing special or memorable. It has a good cast but no great performances. The second act was great but the first and third were too slow. This would of been better with 20 or 30 minutes cut.
Coming to Netflix on March 13, 2019.
A Cliche action movie with lots of plot holes :
Why a professional team didn't extract at time
Why couldn't a pro pilot calculate carrying weight
Why didn't a pro team had a satellite cellphone to call for help?
Why didn't they bury the money to come back later?
Why the bullet wound through guts didn't get infected?
Why didn't their beards grow?
And lots of other whys
This movie is my Netflix wake up call... I went into this expecting something halfway decent but got let down.. Again.
Man, so much potential.
Dare I say it, based on the cast and crew alone: best movie of the year potential.
And there's definitely a lot of good in it.
This movie is one of the few examples that teaches us how to get action filmmaking right.
The cinematography, the editing, the locations and their atmosphere, the action scenes, the tension and the soundtrack are all great.
On the other hand, it's simply not that special, because it follows exactly the formula you'd expected from a film like this.
And that's a shame, because it wasn't necessary.
The interesting stuff is in there, but it never gets the attention that it should:
- there's an interesting social angle (military soldiers breaking bad because they didn't feel they got the respect they deserved), but they don't play it up enough.
- there's a fantastic cast, and they all do a good job, but they're not given the dialogue or character development to make something special out of it.
In fact, only two people in the film feel like actual human beings (Affleck and Isaac), but they don't get nearly enough development to make them feel like fully fleshed out characters.
Also, the third act drags.
And finally, I don't quite know if I liked the ending. A part of me found that they handled out of character, another part of me liked the fact that they did something different.
5.5/10

Ben Miller looks like a young Christian Bale, this being the only redeeming feature of the film
not as good as I thought this would be, it’s just poorly written , it gets boring at times , nothing outstanding and the end sucks .
Triple Frontier is easily one of the best Netflix original movies to date. The film has an excellent plot and delivers plenty of action and some truly great gun battles. But what really sets Triple Frontier apart is its outstanding cast. With an all-star lineup, this movie delivers top-notch performances that immerse you into the life and motives of each character. All in all, Triple Frontier is a must-watch for anyone who loves action-packed thrillers.
I think the only good thing about this movie was Oscar Isaac speaking Spanish.
“It’s always a little harder than you think it’s gonna be.”
I remember when this first came out I saw someone call it "Men: The Movie" and that cracked me up. I had that in mind when I started watching this and surprisingly thought the film was pretty good. Starts off with the typical ex-military story but the actors make it an enjoyable experience.
really, really unsatisfying. I wish I liked this movie as much as I had wanted to
From Netflix comes the exciting action-thriller Triple Frontier. Five retired Special Forces soldiers team-up to rob a Colombian drug lord, but their greed causes the job to go sideways and it soon starts to tear them apart. Starring Ben Affleck, Oscar Isaac, and Charlie Hunnam, the film has a pretty good cast that delivers solid performances. And director J. C. Chandor does an impressive job at shooting the exotic locales and giving a grittiness to the soldier’s trek across the jungles and mountain terrain. Plus, the chases and fight scenes are intense and action-packed. However, the plot is rather formulaic and predictable. Yet despite a few weaknesses, Triple Frontier is an entertaining adventure.
You’d get more out of just watching Three Kings. This film doesn’t do much with its fine cast. The music selection is the best thing about it.
A good solid action movie which becomes great for an awesome soundtrack.
Because you know it's 8 when things begins and ends with MetallicA.
A unique and well-paced heist movie that keeps you at the edge of your seat with realistic action and cinematography, moral dillemas, adventure and drama. The ending was a bit TOO unique for me though.
Good entertainment Definitely highly recommended despite script failures
I enjoyed this quite a lot. It's more gritty than a Hollywood action film - more in the realistic style of Narcos.
The cast are all good - convincing, no weak links. Brilliant scenery and well shot. A worthwhile watch.
There is 10 or 15 mins of fat throughout this. The intros and the final act could be trimmed a little to tighten it up.
7.5/10
(spoiler) I particularly liked that they don't really get away with it and there are casualties along the way. It could have a sequel but it's too thin to build on in my opinion. (/spoiler)
Good flick... Interesting movie ... must be a part 2.
Seeing Oscar Isaac as an agent in Mexico is a movie that could truly compete with Sicario. However, all of this film after his intro, was somewhat meh.
Basically it is ocean 8 in a survival way
Filme de Mercenários, onde encontra-se pessoas falando espanhol no Brasil, além de tudo eles são bonzinhos e doa o dinheiro tudo para caridade e para pessoas necessitadas.
The movie gets pulled down by the stupid mistakes this "pro" team makes, it could also have been 20 minutes shorter.
If you want a better movie in the same vain watch "Three Kings".
No está mal, pero justo en el momento en que esperaba un subidón de acción, simplemente no ocurre nada... Muy lineal, creo que podría haber sido mucho más cañera.
Rather lacking but an easy watch that doesnt take much concentration.
Slow paced heist with great action and A class cast .. Candor did it again! ( yes i'm referring to A Most Violent Year )
" You did everything right, you deserve this."
Tanto potenziale inespresso. Peccato.
Si poteva fare davvero di più.
Con questi attori poi...
