The only positive thing I can say about this card is that it was mercifully brief. Several of the fights were finished but unfortunately the main event between Rashad "I'z Kin Shuck an' Jive Wit' De Bes' o' Dem" Evans vs Thiago Silva was one of the few that went the distance…mainly because - as is his custom - Evans spent the entire fight running away. Thiago had a chance near the end to finish things but of course Evans managed to elude him and continue running until the clock expired. If it sounds like I have zero respect for Rashad Evans, it's because that's all I have: ZERO respect. The man can't fight; he can only run around in circles. And the whole bit about him getting his black belt (supposedly on the day this fight took place) just made me wonder where he mail-ordered it from. In spite of the majority of matches ending prematurely, that should not be interpreted as "Wow, these were really good." Most of these fights were the result of two guys being poorly paired against an opponent; one of the fighters clearly outclassed his opponent, resulting in a (usually) quick finish. I repeat: The only positive thing I can say about this UFC card is that it was short. Just not short enough.
