"1001 Movies You Must See Before You Die" is a film reference book edited by Steven Jay Schneider with original essays on each film contributed by over 70 film critics. This list holds the 1001 movies that are referenced in the only Danish edition from 2007.
My goal is to watch all 1001 before I die :) I have currently watched 367... Still quite a long way.

The following is a list of movies from 1920-2022. Movies within were in the top ten of both Trakt’s Popular & Trakt’s All Time Watched in each of their respective years. The exception to that sole guideline above was the years; 1920-1929, 1930-1934, 1935-1939, 1940-1944, & 1945-1949, where the top twenty in each were cross referenced as a group as opposed to individual years.
