I've not laughed so much at a movie in a long long time. Completely worth seeing!!!
This is what comedy is all about. It's been a while since I watched something so funny.
Pro mě trefa do černého. Chcal jsem smíchy skoro celou dobu.
I had my laughs in almost every scene of this movie. Perfect casting. James Franco always acts as himself and has chemistry with the great Heisenberg. Also, Keegan Key is funny as always and I loved him in this movie!

Funny As All Get Out
I wasn't expecting to like this movie too much, but it surprised me. From many funny lines and likable characters, to tech being used in the movie in a funny way.
The Pink Panther relationship between Laird and Gustav had me laughing hard. Especially when Ned is looking out the window, seeing them fighting xD
Also rewinded multiple times to see Elon Musk :D
I'm not sure why, but we seemed to enjoy this a lot more than we probably should have!
I expected it would be dumb, but I was surprised. Silly jokes were actually funny and almost tasteful. Fun and entertaining.
Quite entertaining movie, I must say! Cranston and Franco's performances are exquisite. Really fun to watch after New Year's parties :)
Didn't expect much going in, but got a lot going out. I found my self laughing out loud and really enjoying it. Worth the watch.
Oh boy, what a crazy people.
Dragons and Tits. LOL
had a blast watching this, Ben Stiller,Jonah Hill,James Franco,Bryan Cranston when this team gets together u expect some crazy fun moments, and this movie is no different! sooo funny and enjoyable to it's last mn.
If you like There's Something About Mary or Meet the Parents, then you'll like this. Yes - predictable father would-be son in law rivalry, but you know that going into it. It's the delivery by some well chosen actors that makes this movie work - Mullally (underrated funny woman) was the perfect choice for mom for instance (see Will and Grace), and Franco/Cranston was perfect for silly/serious. Stupid? Yes. Funny? Yes also.
Great Movie 8/10 Very silly
funny movie with some old links to other movies it was a fun to watch
I watch comedies because I want to laugh and Why Him did that for me. The cast is great and the humor is consistently there with a lot of jokes that hit the sweet spot. Everyone in the cast holds their own and provides some great gags. James Franco and Bryan Cranston become a pretty strong comedy duo in a movie that could've been compete trash but is actually pretty enjoyable.
I have not watched this one since I originally saw it, and man was it fun to revisit! Cranston/Franco/Deutch all have a place in my heart and I love watching their films. I do not think this is near any of their best, but it is a quality addition to all of their catalogs.
Rating: 3/5 - 75% - Worth Watching
7/10
The movie it self gets a 6 but 1 extra point for all the amazing cameos!!! Story is okay, some parts were really funny, but some not at all. Scotty saved this movie, incredible character!
The idea is dumb and not fresh. The father doesn't like his daughter's boyfriend. He's obnoxious and disrespectful. It is another one note gross out/drug comedy. Having said that, I needed to once again use my rule for grading comedies: Did I laugh? Yes. Out loud. A few times. I wasn't falling out of my chair, but it was amusing and there was a strange chemistry between the leads. Zoey Deutch's performance actually impressed me as the "rope" in the game of tug of war. It was much better than I expected, so you ought to give it a try next holiday season.
I was thinking this movie had one joke for the first 30 minutes...but as it moves along, you realize it has a lot more to it than it initially seems. Fun complications keep you watching while you realize the movies core competency is getting you to cringe.
Funny. Really enjoyable. Enjoyed it a lot for what it is.
7.75/10
Funny! Not a new idea or unpredictable but plenty of comedy. Worth a watch or two, good adult group/couple comedy.
James Franco stars in this autobiographical film about Felix Kjellberg's life
Bryan Cranston deserves better than a movie where he's on a high tech toilet trying to figure out how to wipe himself without paper. Where his wife asks "did you make a doo doo ?".
Cranston and Franco have chemistry but we've had how many movies about a father that doesn't approve of his daughter's boyfriend ? I expected a movie like Guess Who or Meets the Parents. It's better than Guess Who at least.
Franco's character is so unlikable that you don't root for him to win Cranston's approval. But since we have seen similar movies many times, we know he will. When he does, it's pretty sudden and forced.
Watchable, but it really ain't that funny. A good cast lift fairly weak material.
I expected a bit more from this and the trailer, again everything funny is on the trailer. Average with a few laughs but likable characters.
A lot of funny moments mixed with a lot of unfunny moments. Overall I enjoyed this film it had a lot of cheap and unfunny jokes but some landed due to the strength of the cast and that’s also the reason you cared. The 3 leads all did a great job and Zoey Deutch being gorgeous the entire film didn’t hurt.
The cast was really good and I had a few laughs but maybe I wasn't really in the mood for a comedy flick that day.. I may change my rating and commentary in the future.
Good for a watch if you have the mood to see a comedy movie..
It was cringy, but still kinda funny. Some things were too overdone, overall positive experience :)
The cast is likeable, but it brings nothing new to the tired formula. It's not awful, there's a few chuckles to be had, but it's a pretty generic movie.
Weird film. It was okay-ish. watchable. cheesy.
I didn't think this movie would be any good, but Bryan Cranston is probably my favourite actor, and a few of James Franco's films have made me giggle, such as "This Is the End," and "The Interview." So I decided to give it a shot.
It was pretty awful. The plot is what you'd expect, standard soppy story of guy trying to win father-in-law's approval, but being humorously obnoxious. The twist in this film is that the guy is rich and had no parental figures/role models growing up, so he swears a lot and has bad manners etc.
I just found that there were no jokes in this film. It's mostly that slightly humorous things happen, and that's about it. For example, slight spoiler:
One of the jokes is the family arrive at the daughter's boyfriend's house to meet him, and he's got their Christmas photo freshly tattooed on his back. Still a bit red raw. Ok, that would be hilariously awkward if it happened in real life, but it's just not that funny in a comedy film.
It was just a bit of a waste of time... there are far better films to waste your time on. I think I might have found this film a lot better if I was 13 actually, and hadn't really seen these types of films before. All the juvenile sex jokes and toilet humour would have been fresher.
Pretty cliche raunchy comedy
The two main characters are great together it's a decent comedy with plenty of funny moments
Definitely not for everybody
There's a lot of heavy language sexual content and just juvenile humor in general
It was pretty fun movie! It had all the fun moments.
Gustav was the best, scene stealer. Overall very funny, these reviewers are crazy.
It was pretty funny; but I'd rather Robert Deniro in comedy flicks! Overall I give it 2 thumbs up!
Franco should be ashamed of himself for making this film, unbelievabley stupid especially the electronic bidet scenes.
