Eh, it wasn't terrible, it's not seeing Batman ride a dinasaur or anything. Still, it's another in a string of DC animated releases that just isn't up to the standards of releases of years gone by.
Overall, a serviceable tale for Diana with some great fight sequences.
However, the threat of Darkseid and his Parademons in the first act serves only as a plot device and is confusingly never brought up again. Additionally, the storyline of Vanessa Kapatelis was absurd.
This was so badly written...
If Trevor was the first outsider to set foot on the island and whoever leaves it forgets its location, then how do the Amazons get pregnant?
Vanessa joining Poison and Dr. Cyber makes no sense. Poison and Dr. Cyber letting her makes even less sense.
Also, the way they tried to lampshade the "purple healing ray" and invisible jet was absolutely pathetic.
Now that it’s finished, eagerly looking forward to discover how they build around Diana’s story arc.
Meh. Still waiting for that WW movie that is actually good. And the character designs on this movie are atrocious.
I thought it was an interesting animation. Watch it on an indoor bike ride today.
I have become a bit of a Wonder Woman fan in recent years but this didn't sit well with me.
The animation and action I am OK with but the story is boring and not engaging. And the humor is not hitting. It is very female heavy, there is practically one male character and that one is impossible to remove. Even knowing who Marston was and the origins of the Wonder Woman character that is a bit much.

If we're being honest, DC's cartoon movies are basically what we wish the lice action movies were. That being said, this one wasn't my favorite. The timeline felt off. It starts in Themiscyra, but the sequence of past movies put her already in the modern world, dating Superman then not dating Superman. And while this movie does skip ahead and even mentions the whole dating Batman thing, it gives a sense of so little time passing that everything seems off. And then she's trying to reconcile with her mother bit a previous movie has the Amazons fighting along side her in the modern world so are we pretending that didn't happen? And then the villain storyline jusy wasn't super strong. This just wasn't my favorite. Especially that post credit scene. Why confront her if you're not going to do anything about it?! She confessed, at least arrest her!
