Definitely wanted Kit to survive after everything she'd been through, but knowing Beatrice II has a father-figure of sorts and so breaks that sort of 'every child in this extended family is now an orphan' chain gives me comfort.
The reveal of the sugar bowl's contents was... Super underwhelming, and a bit of a toss-in that could have been left out entirely through this series. I don't think anything really would have changed except perhaps Gigi's path. Red herring material, maybe? But then that makes me think of how wonderful the series could've been if we'd had a B-storyline that was just as awesome as the main one.
What happened to Mr Po and the Judge and all the other adults that weren't in the recount at the end? They just... Survive the hotel fire, and that's it? At least we get some closure on Lemony's storyline. Oh well. I know they were only plot devices and the overall storyline's tended to the children, so it's not too much of an issue here.
I don't know, I'm a little underwhelmed with how it all wrapped up, especially given how whimsically and action-packed every other chapter was concluded. Felt anti-climatic and somewhat boring.

A bittersweet, sort of rushed ending!
