This week Nicky takes you back to where she became addicted to fishing. Local fishing legend Don Wills hits the water with her to uncover fishing secrets for a variety of fish in Bay of Plenty.
With their feet firmly pressed on the rocks Nicky is testing out the land based fishing in the Bay of Plenty with Tania, resident on Motiti Island. Once the two ladies have had a successful morning on the rocks, Nicky is taken around the island by Tanias son Riley, who shares a spot where the two catch some fresh bait and then hit the rocks again for some more fishing action.
Nicky is being trained up this week by one of the men who lead the way for soft plastics fishing in New Zealand Mark Kitterage. Tune in to find out some handy tips and techniques on how to best negotiate with snapper in the outer Hauraki Gulf.
