1x01 New Orleans’s Daiquiri Culture

  • 2013-09-27T04:00:00Z12m

Daiquiris are delicious. So delicious that we decided to go down to New Orleans and try to get our hands on as many different flavors as we could. But as you can see in the video, the drink comes in a near endless variety and we could barely scratch the surface. We had fun trying, though.

Newcastle, England is a northern party city that’s rife with hen (a.k.a. bachelorette) parties, plus it’s a great place to grab a late night snack called parma, which is basically a pizza made with chicken instead of crust. But besides the debauchery and greasy post-bar snacks, Newcastle is an excellent city to drink a few pints of real, cask ale. We sent two of our Al-Kee-Hol correspondents, Adam and Patrick, out for a marathon of real ales that took them to some old, incredible English pubs. Watch and enjoy.

In this episode of Al-Kee-Hol, our host Billy Wagner takes us on a tour through Frankfurt’s Sachsenhausen district to visit several traditional Ebbelwoi pubs serving the tart, cider-like beverage known as Apfelwein.
