It was a good story but most of the things like Magase being invincible and not even FBI or The President can do anything about her were stupid. As the series was moving forward I was looking forward to some great ending but it was the the same as the rest of the show, "Let Everyone Kill Themselves". This show kept a lot of the things uncleared about the story.
Overall it was a FAIR anime.

This is the most lost anime I've seen in years. It starts extremely well and ends very badly. Unfortunately, the author and his team were unable to deliver on the story and simply got lost in the end, entering a spiral of loss. The discussion gets lost easily and the thriller, which is the best in the series, comes in 2nd place for its subtext. In this case, I would recommend sticking with a simple thriller and would put the drama in 2nd place. That's what I would do. For those who are just starting out, watching anime is a good way to learn.
I started watching this expecting a thriller, yet ended up with a pseudo-paranormal story instead; essentially around a mysterious girl/woman who possesses the ability to hypnotize people, simply by uttering a few unexceptional words, leading them to madness and to commit suicide. From there it jumps all over the place about the meaning of life, good and evil - a common biblical theme.
In sum, it's a pretentious anime that is awfully confused about what it wants to represent. For the most part, a waste of time, something that becomes self-evident with each episode. Poor writing all around.
Would not recommend nor re-watch. I only watched this because I thought it was something else, then just to see how bad it could get - very.
Probably one of the hidden gems, can't seem to understand why its rating is this low. I see it as one of the few anime out there that tried to talk about a very sensitive psychological topic.
Towards the ending of the anime, when the president died as well as the MC, that made me a bit annoyed. (wanted a happy ending but oh well).
My understanding for the ending would be that the MC killed the president to take the fall in order to avoid others taking by an example from a big figure to save the better good. As for himself, probably "hypnotized".
Somewhere in my thoughts I also believe he didn't kill her because he thought it was the "bad" thing to do, although that could be contradicting to the kill of the president. Dilemma, I know!
A good, intriguing start well edited and directed then it didn't stick the landing.

Good start but after we transitioned over to the US the show just went downhill for me, we spent WAY too much time trying to comprehend what's good? what's evil? and is suicide okay? The finale felt rather sporadic and didn't address the core events of the series (Shiniki, Magase's goal/ aims etc.) and the cliffhanger just left more questions (that I doubt we will ever have officially answered) than answers.
