Favorite show of all time. The most intense, violent, fun, insane characters I’ve ever seen. While it is an action show, it delves deep in the richly developed histories of the characters and situations. It’s masterfully executed raunchy pulp that stomps your teeth down your throat. Fantastic. Nothing comes close.

Do we really need to have so much nudity?
I mean,I like breasts as much as the next testosterone filled guy, but much of the nudity here doesn't fulfil a story advancing role, it's just nudity for nudity sake. If those scenes were deleted nothing would be lost, storywise...
Every time a pointless nude scene starts, I'm rolling my eyes and think:"Come on show, get on with it... If I wanted to see tites I wouldnt be watching you anyways... Theres a whole genre of movies out there dedicated to tites exclusively."
This is one of the most underrated shows in our time, and for one reason only: It shadows Game Of Thrones in handling consequences, dashing hopes, developing characters and having a fine, grey line on covering it's true motive: This is not a heroes tale. It is the depiction of the fall of an ex-convict to familiar vices: A woman he can't have, a faked job, past acquaintances, loose ends, and new threats against a backdrop of violence, interpersonal conflict, evasion and survival.
This is truly, a great show. Comes highly recommended.
Banshee, in all its' forms, is what defines its' own genre of series: It's outright shocking, often heart-breaking, and nothing is obvious. It is a reflection of life from beyond the law, where forgiveness and salvation are mere vestiges in a brutal, cruel backdrop tinted with betrayal, lust, allegiances, power and intrigue.
I believe that Banshee is severely underrated for what it brings to the table: A solid script, excellent characters, masterful choreography and actual character development. It's short, riveting episodes leave you yearning for the next, and it never disappoints.
This show will be missed, dearly.

Pilot was good and the next two episodes were too but that's it, episode 4 was a turn in the wrong direction. Don't follow that road to much or you won't be able to come back...

Better than the most series I've seen and that's a lot. loved every bit of all 4 seasons. Never a dull moment in series . picks up fast has nudity action thrilling moments. You'll not be bored till all 4 season are completed.

This is not the kind of show where you expect strong story or logic. Just sit back and enjoy the crazy ride. It's a blast to watch Banshee. Can't wait for Season 2.

I enjoyed it. I must say it was a surprise. Season 1 for me wasn't that much of an appeal but the third was the best.
The series is not necessarily done to the detail, but as many have said it's a manly show. Some of the scenes unnecessary but they do the job. The Actors in general were average but heads down to Hoon Lee (Job). His performance and his story line were perfect.
Good show to those who like action, a little drama, some story telling and explicit scenes.

One of the best shows I've ever watched! Raw and simple, yet powerful and so well written. I don't agree that it's a men's show. I think women have a very powerful place in the series and that can inspire many women out there. Also, the plot is so interesting and the characters are so amazing that I'm sure that women with good taste for series and movies will love it! Great great great show! Will be missed!

I watched the show a year and a half ago, and I still find myself comparing other shows to this. I really loved it. It is definitely a great surprise.
First season was good. Season 3-4 pretty much jumped the shark. I think the writing went down hill as soon as they re-introduced the thief aspect of Lucas' character even after he had made it sound like he was trying to start a new life/changed. The most grounded parts of the show post season 1 were the other cops on the show like Siobhan, Brock, Bunker and Yawners. The way they killed off Siobhan was dumb because there seemed like there was going to be more of a redemption arc with Lucas with his relationship with Siobhan. I felt like Lucas was too one dimensional, and could've benefited from the relationship. However, they didn't give it enough time to see where that went. Besides the cops, I think Sugar, Hoon Lee, and Proctor were really good with what they were given.
I was searching for a show similar to Reacher, while waiting for Season 2 to drop. Banshee was recommended to me by a few as a great, older show to consider. They were right. I don't know how I missed this show when it originally aired. Better late than never.
I disagree with the opinion that this is a "manly man's show". It isn't. In my opinion, this falls under the same category as Reacher, Yellowstone etc., where we get a good dose of characters that happen to be both men and women. This is a Starz production. The same outfit that gave us the Spartacus franchise. So, expect gratuitous nudity and violence :grin:.
I'm impressed by Lilly Simmons' performance. Never hard of her until I watched this show. Power Book IV: Force is next in my list of shows to binge, thanks to her.

This was everything I expected, and more... Just action , high stakes adventure, and more. This show introduced me to Lili Simmons, maybe the most beautiful woman I've ever seen. Job was, by far, my favorite character. Hood was no joke. He was a balls-to-the-wall anti-hero. Proctor, bad guy yes, but I liked him. I need more shows, like this, in my life.

This is a great show, almost at "Game of Thrones" standards, but with chaos and violence, definitely a man show!
So this "sheriff" is the most prolific of all - laying every women under 40 in the series. Respect I guess. In fact the only woman he hasn't slept with is the waitress at the diner!
Healing is the super power not mentioned ever. Because they get messed up in every episode, but no scares, and healed for the next one.
As a man show, this is awesome. Enjoy.
This is like a live-action graphic novel. Sure, the action is exaggerated and the nudity is at times gratuitous but that's part of the charm. And it works, really well.
The acting (especially from the likes of Ulrich Thomsen, The Wire's Frankie Faison and The Sopranos' Matt Servitto) is incredible as are the characters themselves. The storylines are engaging, genuinely edge-of-your-seat stuff. And the overall tone and cinematography of the show is breathtakingly refreshing and rich. Especially in season 2, with an episode featuring cinematography equivalent to the movie Drive. I love what it's achieved and where it's going. The attention to detail via unusual means is also a blast with the evolving title sequence including clues for what's to come and the post-credit scenes that add a touch more insight into the character's lives.
This is honestly one of my all-time favourite shows. Very much worth the watch and a well deserved 10/10.

I watched the first season before season 2 began and I thought it was pretty good. However, after most of season 2 I have come to realize that it actually sucks and has sucked all along. With only two episodes left of this season I find it a chore just to finish. I don't think I have ever been so angry at a tv show.

I watched half a season, it kinda blows to be honest.
It’s too dumb for its own good (given how overly serious it presents itself), poorly shot and edited (the action scenes really suck in particular), lots of questionable acting, and the story is predictable and uninspired.
God fucking help us all if this is supposed to be a show for 'manly men'.
Anthony Starr is very good in it, and yeah it’s got lots of tits and blood, which is great, but if you’re looking for that I’d recommend Spartacus over this in a heartbeat.
I feel like the only real hook with this show are the sex scenes, which you can also find plenty of on the internet.
