Honestly, I'm really surprised TRAKT fans gave this show a 58% rating. In truth, I think we can all agree that this show was freakin' horrible. This was so disappointing, because I think this was the first major comic book LGBT character. This brings me back to why I almost never watch LGBT movies. Either the actors aren't talented enough, or the scripts are just straight up awful!!! However, in this case Ruby Rose is a decent actress, but, my opinion remains the same, she would have made a better Robin than a Bat Woman. They really played up on heavy stereotypes that even I as a gay man found off-putting. We have to do better with LGBT content. Please!!! This show felt way too amateurish. I might as well had digged up my old Adam West VHS tapes and watched that instead.

Is just shame how this tv show is so bad. And it getting worse. It's like a columbian tv novel. Too much talking, nothing happening, bad stunts, bad acting, very bad screenplay. The most embarrassing LGBT character/show ever made. All throughout the show, all I kept thinking was, she would have made a better Robin.
I was wondering what on earth I was doing when I switched on to watch this, but I was actually surprised.
I was expecting something like SuperGirl, which is so cheesy.
Obviously it’s only one episode and it could go downhill. I thought there was lots of room for improvement, but overall it wasn’t too bad at all. I’d definitely happily watch a few more to see how it develops.
Was surprised to see Ruby Rose as the main character, as I’ve only seen her in smaller parts, but she did well and pulled off the role well. You normally have these glamorous or girl next door characters, so it was refreshing to see a new take on the role. Ruby Rose is a beautiful lady, after all she was and is a model, but not your ‘typical’ image of a model.
I’m generally not a huge fan of superhero shows/movies, but recently there seems to be a shift in how they are portrayed.
Let’s hope this remains something different and we see something new and exciting.

This show is SO GOOD! I think it's the best current Arrowverse show along with Legends of Tomorrow, both are so much fun to watch, as opposed to the snooze fest that The Flash and (sometimes) Supergirl are.
While I've liked Ruby Rose in other shows and movies, and I like the Batwoman comics character (this iteration, as well as the B. Gordon version, among others thru the last 20 yrs), this show is just not good. I've liked many of the actors and actresses in other shows as well, but this whole mishmash is just poorly written. Supergirl, the Flash..they're silly and campy (so you can usually overlook when they get preachy)..But the point is ENTERTAINMENT. This..it just isn't. Not to me. I watched the early eps and the Crisis tie-ins..but ever since..Ug!
This character in the comics is a gifted and resourceful person. Period. The fact that it's a woman and gay is part of the story. But there is a Story going on. This..seems to be all Roar and no Substance..and it's all supposed to be okay and embraced Because of the character's gender and sexuality.
It's a lame way to make a movie or a show, no matter how you justify it. Story is All. Or SHOULD be. Political agendas shouldn't be the main focus in a CW show like this. Let's face it, they're brain candy and guilty pleasures for most of us as adults. We want a chance to switch off and enjoy the ride, like watching Marvel movies..Trying to shoehorn these into vehicles for preaching a message...it's like writing Left or Right slogans on a birthday cake, and calling it a serious political discourse. Fun CAN just be about fun, and if it's done well, who really cares about what the character prefers in bed, or their politics, or their gender?

It is an addition to CW's Arrowverse (Arrow, Flash, Supergirl) and the Ruby Rose's character was introduced to it in a crosssover episode in 2018. It seems to me that it fits into that universe rather well. So, I would suggest that if you follow those show, this might be a good fit for you. After sitting through the first episode, none of what it offered kept me engaged, it really flows like they're ticking off a checklist.. I wish Gotham was given more budget/seasons and we'd follow Bruce as he further developed into Batman instead.

It's so disappointing. In short - too much talking, less action. It so boring. Bad script, almost no stunts, boring villains, bad story. Even the batmobile is bad. Really i don't know why I'm still waiting something to happen. Alice was interesting at season one, but in the second - too much. Just big lack of imagination, like my grandma is trying to make superhero movie. I'm a DC fan and honestly this tv show is a shame.
Remember when Arrow first came on and it was good? That was a loooooooooong time ago.
If wasn't for Alice this show would be a total waste.

I also find the comments that Batwoman is forced diversity and why is she a lesbian! funny because Batwoman has been around for a while and has always been a lesbian.
I managed up to around 22 minutes into the pilot before I couldn't take the overwhelming feminism, plot holes and contradictions. Honestly if this wasn't tied into Batman I'm pretty sure they would have said he was a woman too. The only male main character you see or hear are Commissioner Gordon and references to Batman.

So tired of this me too movement. Just because there is a batman doesn't necessarily mean there must a batwoman. What are the air dates for CatMan and Wonder Man? I only watched the trailer and knew this was trash.
this show has had a rough way to go ever since it premiered. it was obvious from almost the very beginning that the main actress that they hired and couldn't act, they seem to write around this weakness eventually but then at the end of season 1 we find out that she is leaving the show. in about a year later we found out she was fired which stuff to do when you're the star.
but between her hollow performance and just getting it's footing, season 1 was kind of a mess. so the show begins you reinvent itself at the beginning of season 2 with the brand new lead. there were some clunker storylines that's for sure but a lot of that was probably written with Kate in mind and not Ryan.
but now suddenly with season 3 the shows made a major turnaround and it's really good. The supporting cast it's held this show together all the way through and now they're really giving a chance to shine even if I don't necessarily care for the direction Mary has taken.
How are the ratings doing, can they get any worse? This series is a bad joke, well beyond what would have had any other shows canceled.
If this got on with being a superhero than trying to make up some sanctimonious drivel populated by the look I'm a lesbian and let me keep reminding you I'm a lesbian and this was my girlfriend who is really a lesbian..........for FS. Alice is brilliant, take her into the better superhero worlds and I love Nicole Kang and her character Mary, hilarious.....Sophie Moore is the biggest failure to women on the planet and should be shot, best thing for her, poor character and poor actor. Thankfully Ruby won't be reprising the role and hopefully there will be time to forget the majority of this drivel before they try to do another series. Hopefully the LBGTQ+ supporters will create new characters rather than try to turn all the well known ones into gay icons and really, it would have been better if Batwoman was built like Brigit Neilson who could kick ass.....couldn't act but looked like she could rip a mans head off! Seriously disappointed with this
I was ready to give up on this, but E06 was much better.
Episode 01 wasn’t bad, but it went downhill. Ruby Rose seemed awkward and lacking the acting skills to pull off the part. She’s supported by a good line up of actors, which have been holding the show together.
I suppose it’s a big role to fill and too much for her inexperience. However, E06 she seemed a lot better, more relaxed and comfortable in the role. Let’s hope that continues, as we are getting some great performances from others; such as Alice.
And yes I agree, the previous episodes have been over the top about her sexuality which has been unnecessary and annoying. It’s good to see diversity, but it’s been a tad rammed in our faces. Thankfully E06, this has calmed down too and more focus on the actual show. I’m not really bothered about who is what sexuality, but it’s good to see it being represented. Any show that uses a lot of sexuality annoys me as it’s not necessary to go overboard on it, we aren’t stupid and need things spelling out. That’s not why I watch it; I’m looking for a great show, plot etc.
I still feel this has promise if it continues as well as E06. It’s a lot better than Supergirl; who’s the sickly sweet girl from next door, it’s absolutely annoying! At least Batwoman is more normal in the sense of flaws and not being perfect and soo sweet.
Let’s wait and see how it plays out.

It’s not the best DC show, and it starts rough. Ryan ends up a better Batwoman, and the show could use some better villains. The actor who plays Alice does a great job but she doesn’t stay villainous enough to be a great foil to fight against.
Cannot decide what side it wants to be on. It hurts my head. The movie deserved to get canceled.

i was hoping to see a show similar to any other in the world of DC, maybe less serious in the style of super girl or more batman dark style like Titans or arrow, but the series ends up being a series that tries to sell diversity at all times , when the main characters cross each other always sounds romantic music, she look at a photo of their beloved and romantic music ... I understand the theme of inclusion, diversity, etc, but do not try to put it at all times, because it bores. And the worst partt it's the stereotype, she's tough (even acting) like batman, but when she's with her love, ahhh, it's a sweetie...
