The bagpipes may be the national instrument of Scotland, but in the past fifty years, Ulster has become the bedrock of the pipe band world. This is the inside story of two pipe bands. Thiepval Memorial is led by a fearsome female pipe major with a serious passion for the music. McDonald Memorial are a band with family traditions to uphold.
