This starts off better than the first season, but in that case it's because the show builds and builds towards its second half of so many great story threads coming together (especially Kidman's). This is immediately arresting and high-intensity, thanks in no small part to Streep, and the second episode is much better than the first. But some of the characters' threads feel like they're in separate shows, and they are zoomed by at such comparatively breakneck speed that I hope DEK has some really solid script in the back half. Also, hope this does not overload on accidental hearing to move its plot along.

Woodley is so affecting (her talk with the kid about assault might be her finest moment yet in the show), and very impressive considering her more scaled-down screentime, and also considering she's saddled with that hair.

Best line: “I will not not be rich!”

This show just turned into Pretty Little Liars for adults.

This episode should be titled "Madeline's daughters blab about everything". Can’t wait to see how the Ed and Madeleine storyline will play out.

I thought this was one of the best episodes I’ve seen this year! I give it a 10 in all aspects. Meryl Streep will certainly when an Emmy for her role.

Soooooo, they're going to kill Renata's husband this season, right? Also, fuck Ed

The scene with Celeste in therapy gave me goosebumps all over

Madeline & Ed breaking up just broke my heart x3. Once for each of them individually being so misreable and another one for them as a couple
Plus Adam Scott really gets to show off his great acting here, Reese too, but that's more usual (which doesn't mean I apprciate it any less)
